Carolinas Golf Schools

Along the Atlantic coastline, Bird Golf Academy offers two premier destinations for Carolinas golf schools, each combining championship golf with a relaxed coastal setting that supports focused instruction. Known for its rich golf history and classic course design, the Carolinas provide an ideal environment to work on your game while enjoying some of the most scenic locations in the eastern United States.

Myrtle Beach and Hilton Head Island each bring a distinct feel to our  Carolinas golf schools. One offers a lively coastal atmosphere with links-style influences, while the other delivers a quieter, more refined Lowcountry experience. Both locations create the kind of setting where improvement happens naturally through a combination of expert instruction and on-course application.

Myrtle Beach at Wachesaw Plantation East

Our Myrtle Beach location at Wachesaw Plantation East offers a classic coastal setting, shaped by the region’s long-standing golf tradition. Located in Murrells Inlet, just south of the Grand Strand, the area blends easy access with a quieter, more relaxed pace that fits naturally with the rhythm of a multi-day school.

The course is designed in the style of traditional Scottish links, with rolling fairways, well-placed bunkers, and natural wetlands that influence each shot. Moss-covered oaks and freshwater lakes frame the layout, creating a setting that is both scenic and highly playable without feeling overly demanding.

This is the kind of environment where improvement tends to happen on the course, not just on the range. The layout encourages better decisions, cleaner contact, and a more consistent approach from tee to green. For many players, this style of setting is exactly what makes the Carolinas golf schools experience so effective.

Hilton Head Island at Palmetto Hall Plantation

Hilton Head Island offers a more refined coastal setting, known for its pristine environment and steady, unhurried pace. It’s a place where the surroundings naturally help you slow down and stay focused, which carries over into how you approach each round.

Our school is hosted at Palmetto Hall Plantation, where two championship courses provide a balanced test. The Arthur Hills course follows a more traditional design, moving cleanly through the landscape, while the Robert Cupp course introduces a different look with bold shaping and more strategic bunkering. Together, they challenge both execution and decision-making without feeling repetitive.

The setting on Hilton Head makes it easier to stay present throughout your time here. With fewer distractions and a strong sense of place, you can focus on building consistency and confidence in real playing conditions. It’s a big part of why this location continues to stand out among the Carolinas golf schools we offer.
