Day To Day

01 On The Range

Start your day on the range establishing your individual goals for your golf school. You will baseline your current swing with swing video analysis before you move into your applicable swing drills, customized specifically for your own game.

02 On the Greens

Your instructor will help you understand the fundamentals of the putting stroke using a variety of aiming tools and techniques. Your instructor will help you understand distance and direction control and help you brush up on proper green reading techniques.

03 Pitching and Chipping

Focus on your short game by beginning with proper set up and approach to the ball and the green. Your instructor will evaluate your chipping and pitching alignment and help you make repeatable, proper contact with the golf ball. Most of your short game will come down to club selection. Your instructor will help you understand how each club selection leads to trajectory control, distance control, loft/lie angle selection and understanding different lies.

04 Bunker Game

An area many golfers struggle with is the sand game. You and your instructor will work through bunker shots, both greenside and fairway bunkers. Golf shots out of poor lies will only improve with practicing each bunker scenario.

05 Playing Lessons

Afternoons are all about taking “your game” to the course. This includes playing within yourself, developing a consistent routine, and reinforcing swing changes.

We don’t just show our students how to hit the ball better on the driving range…we play with them each day of their school. How often has someone taken a golf lesson only to go to the course and ‘lose’ everything that they just learned? We know that the most important part of changing is trust. It is that trust in something new that we abandon when it matters most; on the course.

Playing lessons allow us to observe ‘how’ a person plays, both in thought and mechanics and then to show them how various intangibles like lie, wind, pin placement, and course condition affect each shot. We teach them how vital course management can be. It is also essential to show students how important it is to play ‘in your personality” and to play “within yourself”.

End your round with post-game analysis.

06 The Mental Game

Mentally, golf can be more than a little demanding. Consistent performance on the course requires a mental approach that is effective for a casual weekend round or a high-pressure tournament. We teach students how to think like pros. We coach a mental program that allows for thinking clearly on the golf course.

6 More Information

An array of amenities on-site, make Seaview the perfect choice for your golf school vacation. Conveniently located on the outskirts of Atlantic City, Seaview is easily accessible from other major states and is the ideal location for our golf school students in the New York, Pennsylvania and Washington DC areas

Seaview, a Dolce Hotel, has an impressive list of awards and accolades. Notable amongst them are being ranked third on Travel and Leisure’s Golf Magazines’ list of “World’s Best Golf Resorts in the Northeast and Mid Atlantic, a multiple recipient of Golf magazine’s, “Silver Award” and being named as “Top 20 Golf Resorts in the World” by Vacations Ownership T&L Golf Magazine. Seaview has undergone a complete 18 million dollar hotel refurbishment and the beautifully appointed new rooms were unveiled in May, 2019.

The centerpieces of Seaview are the two Championship golf courses that are perhaps even more steeped in tradition than the resort. Foremost of the two courses is The Bay course that was designed by the legendary, Donald Ross. A links-style course that meanders around Reed’s Bay, with the ocean as a backdrop on many of its holes, the Bay is a masterpiece. Classic mounding and pot bunkers, with small greens combined with the ocean’s prevailing winds make this a true test of links golf.

By contrast, the Pines course is set amid huge New Jersey pines that frame each hole. An inspired, parkland setting originally designed by Toomey & Flynn in 1929, the course features narrow bentgrass fairways and varying shapes to each hole. With each course having its own distinct charm, it gives our Golf Academy students a unique variety. Our golf school students also enjoy a private driving range area, with multiple short game practice facilities to hone their skills. The golf facilities are managed by Troon Golf, the world leader of luxury golf course management.

You walk in the footsteps of golf’s greatest players when you play at Seaview. Sam Snead won the 1942 PGA Championship. Snead beat Jim Turnsea by holing a miraculous chip shot on the 35th hole (the PGA Championship was played in match-play format in those days). Snead held a special fondness for Seaview and this was the first of his 7 Major Championships. The “Slammer” would call his win here as his “greatest thrill in golf”.

Golf’s royalty has always been a presence at Seaview and in the modern era, this grand resort was the host of the LPGA’s, ShopRite Classic for 20 years. Winners include LPGA and World Golf Hall of Fame members, Betsy King and Juli Inkster and the incomparable, Annika Sorenstam who was a three-time Champion of the tournament.

Seaview has all of the amenities that you would expect at a classic resort including restaurants, tennis courts and swimming pools. Our New Jersey golf schools students enjoy their newly redecorated guest room that feature luxury bedding and linens, high-speed internet access and individually controlled climate sensors.

Seaview is only 8 miles from the bright lights and action that is Atlantic City. Atlantic City also offers our golf school students a host of activities including their world famous casinos, the Boardwalk, and a multitude of fine dining options.
