Teaching Philosophy

On her journey through the game of golf, Karyn Dunphy was fortunate to train under renowned coaches Lynn Marriott and Pia Nilsson of Vision54. Their teachings left a lasting impression and became the cornerstone of Karyn’s coaching philosophy. Combined with the LPGA model of People, Skills, and Equipment, these experiences helped shape a holistic and enduring approach to coaching. Today, Karyn specializes in the mental game of golf, believing that performance begins from within. “Everything begins with thought,” says Coach Karyn Dunphy. As a dedicated Zen practitioner, she teaches The Zen of Golf — an approach that blends mindfulness, awareness, and presence into the game. Her philosophy extends beyond technique, embracing the full spectrum of human qualities to help each player grow both on and off the course.
