A Thank You to the Golfers Who Trust Us With Their Game

Golf Ball

There’s a moment that happens at the start of every golf school. A brief pause after introductions, after the handshakes, when a student stands on the practice range for the first time with their instructor. It’s a moment of vulnerability. They’re about to share something they care deeply about: their golf game, their frustrations, their hopes of getting better.

That trust means everything to us.

As we reflect on another year at Bird Golf Academy, we find ourselves thinking less about the courses we’ve played, the shots we’ve taught, or even the scores that improved. Instead, we’re thinking about you, the golfers who chose to spend your time, your vacation days, and your trust with us.

To Every Student Who Walked Onto Our Ranges

Whether you came to us shooting in the 70s looking to break par, or you’d never held a club before your first day with us, thank you.

We know that signing up for a golf school isn’t a small decision. It’s not just about the investment of money. It’s the vulnerability of admitting you want help, the courage to make changes, and the hope that this time, things will click in a way they haven’t before.

We’ve had the privilege of working with students from around the world, from seasoned competitors to complete beginners. Some of you came alone, nervous about what the experience would be like. Others brought spouses, friends, or children, turning instruction into a shared adventure. Every single one of you showed up ready to work, ready to learn, and ready to get better.

That willingness to improve, to try something new even when it feels awkward, that’s what makes this work so rewarding for our instructors.

To Our Digital Members

When we launched Bird Golf Digital, we weren’t sure how it would be received. Could we really deliver the same quality of instruction through a screen? Would golfers find value in on-demand video lessons and remote coaching?

You answered those questions for us with a resounding yes.

To everyone who’s joined our digital community, whether you’re streaming lessons from your living room, reviewing your swing with a Pro Connect coach, or practicing drills in your backyard. Thank you for believing in what we’re building.

You’ve shown us that the desire to improve doesn’t stop when you leave the golf school. It continues in the early morning practice sessions before work, in the notes you take while watching our video series, in the text messages you send your instructor asking for feedback on a swing thought.

We created Bird Golf Digital to make world-class instruction accessible anytime, anywhere. But you’ve turned it into something more, a community of golfers genuinely committed to the journey of improvement. That’s not something we could have built alone.

To the Families Who Made It a Shared Experience

Some of our favorite memories come from working with families.

There’s something special about watching a father and son working on their swings side by side, each at different skill levels but both equally engaged. Or a couple who decided to learn together, turning what could have been a solitary pursuit into quality time together. We’ve taught mothers and daughters, groups of siblings, and even three generations of golfers in a single school.

Golf has this unique ability to bring people together across age and ability. A 12-year-old and a 65-year-old can play the same course, enjoy the same afternoon, and share the same love for the game. When families choose to learn together at Bird Golf, you’re not just improving your individual games, you’re creating shared memories and a common language that will last for years.

We’ve heard from parents whose teenagers actually wanted to spend time with them during their golf school week. We’ve watched spouses encourage each other through difficult swing changes. We’ve seen grandparents beam with pride as their grandchildren figured out that perfect chip shot.

Thank you for inviting us into those moments. For trusting us not just with your game, but with your family time, something we know is precious and limited.

To Those Who Keep Coming Back

Perhaps the most humbling thank you goes to our repeat students.

You’re the golfers who’ve come back for a tune-up, for a different location, for another week with the instructor who just gets you. You’re the ones who text your Bird Golf pro from the course when something clicks. You’re the students who’ve become friends, who ask about our families, who we genuinely look forward to seeing again.

Some of you have been with us for years now. You’ve worked with the same instructor across multiple schools, building a relationship that goes well beyond a typical student-teacher dynamic. Your instructor knows your tendencies, understands your personality, and can spot when something’s off in your setup before you even hit a ball.

That continuity, that ongoing partnership in your golf journey, is exactly what we envisioned when we created the Bird Golf Academy model. Golf isn’t learned in a weekend. It’s a lifelong pursuit, and having a coach who truly knows you makes all the difference.

When you choose to come back, you’re telling us that we did something right. That the experience was valuable. That the instruction worked. That the relationship mattered. We don’t take that lightly.

What You’ve Taught Us

Here’s something we don’t say often enough: you’ve taught us as much as we’ve taught you.

You’ve taught us that golfers don’t need to be overwhelmed with information. They need clarity, simplicity, and a plan they can actually execute. You’ve reminded us that every golfer is different. What works for one person might not work for another. There’s no one-size-fits-all swing, no universal grip, no single path to improvement. The best instruction meets each student exactly where they are.

And you’ve proven that golfers genuinely want to get better. They’re willing to work hard, practice diligently, and push through frustration when they have the right guidance and support.

The Notes and Messages We Keep

Our instructors often share the messages they receive from students after a school ends. The text that says, “Just broke 90 for the first time!” The email describing how a playing lesson strategy led to a club championship win. The voicemail from someone who’d been about to quit golf entirely but found their love for the game again.

We keep these notes. They’re reminders of why we do this work.

There’s one we go back to often, from a student who wrote: “You didn’t just teach me how to hit a golf ball. You gave me something to be excited about again.”

That’s what this is really about. Not swing mechanics or launch angles or handicap reductions, though those matter. It’s about helping people enjoy this beautiful, frustrating, rewarding game we all love.

The Impact We’ve Made Together

Sometimes we step back and look at what we’ve built together over the years. The numbers aren’t just statistics. They’re a reflection of every student who took a chance on us:

  • Well over 1,000 golfers coached
  • 660+ multi-day golf schools delivered
  • 2,000+ school days completed
  • Over 12,000 hours of personalized instruction
  • Millions in guest, golf and ancillary revenue driven to our resort partners
  • Over $1M earned by PGA of America professionals as part of our growing instruction ecosystems

That last point deserves attention. Every time you book a school with us, you’re doing more than improving your game. You’re supporting the golf professionals who make instruction their life’s work. You’re helping resort staff, restaurant teams, and local businesses thrive. You’re keeping beautiful golf courses maintained and accessible.

Your investment creates a ripple effect that extends far beyond the fairways. That’s something we’re genuinely proud to be part of.

Looking Ahead

As we move forward, our commitment to you remains the same: personalized instruction, patient teaching, and a genuine investment in your improvement and enjoyment of golf.

Whether you’re planning your first school, your fifth return visit, or you’re working with us digitally from across the country, know that we appreciate you. Not as customers or revenue or numbers in a database, but as individual golfers with unique goals, challenges, and stories.

Thank you for choosing Bird Golf Academy. Thank you for trusting us with your game. Thank you for your time, your effort, and your belief that golf can be learned, that improvement is possible, and that the journey is worth taking.

We’re honored to be part of your golf story.

From all of us at Bird Golf Academy – instructors, staff, and everyone who works behind the scenes to make these experiences possible – thank you.

Now let’s go play some golf.
