Morrie Kaz
June 21, 2010

Hi Jay: In the 6 weeks since I had my lessons with Mike (Passmore), my handicap has gone from a 22 to a 14. I was playing between 95-100 and now I am 80-85 consistently. My playing partners are happy my handicap is now a 14 since they were giving me strokes as my handicap was coming down and now I am the one giving the strokes. That's OK since I hope I have to give them more strokes in the future. They have all noticed the change in my game since my lessons and I tell them that all they have to do is ask me for your number and they too can get better. Thank you and a big thanks to Mike.

Keep up the great work, Morrie!

Bert Shackleton
April 2, 2010

I wanted to give you an update on my progress after my visit with you in January. I have been remiss in reporting to you because I wanted to actually see how my real game has been affected once I started playing again regularly here in Canada.

Yes, after our sessions, I did have an opportunity to play golf in Florida and practice within the "domes" here in Canada, but I only was able to practice and play intermittently. I was impressed by my change in play and, during the opportunities when I golfed in Florida, I noticed a positive change, however, I really needed the time to work with the new swing here in Canada.

My regular golf buddies are in awe and are wondering which "golf God" either visited me or shone a new light on my golf clubs. I have told them nothing other than I was visited by my "Golf God of the Future" and they better beware! Not only am I consistently hitting the ball further and straighter, but also, more importantly, my degree of confidence has soared when I stand over the ball, knowing what I need to do. I have shaved 5-6 strokes off my regular score. This may seem insignificant to you, but for a person who has been stuck in the mid-90's for a few years, this is HUGE! And I am only just getting started. Will I need more coaching and work - most definitely. Thanks again for sharing your knowledge and patience while working with me.

You figured out how to handle me, knowing my personality traits, and applied that knowledge, turning it into productive learning sessions. You were able to keep my attention focused on what I needed to do.

The one thing that I passed on to my wife, Patti, which has helped her putting game, is the shiny ball mark. She thanks you too!

Again I say thank you for everything.

Your Canadian friend,

Bert Shackleton

EDITORS NOTE:
Bert is taught by our East Coast Head professional, Tim Peightal. Bert came to our golf school 3 months ago and even though weather hasn't allowed him to play as much as he would like to, his improvement has been dramatic. We imagine that this is only the beginning for Bert and he will soon be doing even greater things. Keep up the fantastic work, Bert!

Kathryn L. Harris
January 15, 2010

We recently had the privilege of doing a school at our flagship site, Wild Horse Pass Resort, with Kathryn Harris. As you will read, Kathryn had struggled a little with golf, but that has now changed. Kathryn was taught one of by our incomparable teachers, Shirley Furlong. Bird Golf was one of the things on Kathryn’s “Bucket List”. What a gift Kathryn has given us.

“I would like to take this time to say; Thank You. As you might remember I told you about my Bucket List. Without coming to The Bird Golf Academy I would not be able to complete other tasks on my list. On my list are different travel spots and now I will have the confidence to go out and play courses without any hesitation.

I also must tell you about another item on my Bucket List are to take riding lessons and thanks to Shirley she pointed out the equestrian center near the course. So in the next few weeks I will be taking riding lessons. So again, I thank you.

I have taken other golf lessons (at least I thought I did) but after coming to The Bird Golf Academy, I think I had just been giving away money to somebody. The DVD that Shirley made for me is such a cool tool to be able to review the things I was taught. Being able to review them means so much to me especially being a craftsman with a little bit of an analyzer. I need to see and then execute.

Thank you. Thank you. I could never say this enough. You guys are fantastic and Jay just as you said, “I would love Shirley” she is FANTASTIC as an instructor and as a human being. Shirley’s personality, patience and knowledge leave me without enough words I can truly say about the experience I had: but WOW! My Bucket List helpers are great.

Again I say thank you for everything.

Sincerely
Kathryn L. Harris
