Greetings fellow golfers!
I hope that you have wintered well, and that those of you living in the colder reaches of the world, will be enjoying Spring conditions soon!
After a Winter hibernation, we are back to the Blog; so thought it might be interesting to start things out with a poll. Which of the following predictions do you think most likely for 2008?
- Tiger Woods will win the Grand Slam (again)?
- Phil Mickelson will win one Major?
- The American team will win the Ryder Cup?
- Someone, other than Tiger, will be the “Player of the Year”?; and who will that be?
- A PGA Tour player will be the first to test positive for drugs (the Tour has now begun random testing).?

Well, it’s about time that you came out of hibernation! We Scots, love the briskness of Winter, and rather than hibernating have been enjoying ourselves immensely!
I have a sneaky feeling that, the correct answer to your poll, will be, #5. It will also be devastating to the first person who is caught doing illegal substances. Imagine the stigma of being “the first PGA Tour player to have tested poistive….”; that will be a hard one to live down.
I would go for #3. It would be awesome if the Americans can finally pull it off. #1 won’t fly because my second choice is #2. I believe Mickelson can and will win another Major this year. #4 is out in left field and I certainly hope #5 does not happen!
